How do you modernise a former threshing barn and farmyard without loosing its essential character?

The development of an old threshing barn with two linked buildings provided a huge opportunity for a fully immersive garden. With a limited palette of materials and very informal planting we were able to create loosely defined spaces that still allowed the original architecture to shine through.
