Can you design a garden around a sculpture?

We were asked to create a formal setting for a large Manzu sculpture at an Oxfordshire home of a long standing client. The French windows off of one of the main rooms of the house faces due west – the idea of creating a long contemplation pool framed with York stone and pleached limes seemed wholly appropriate and has now created a new link between the garden and the house.
